Caritas Care provides specialised care to elderly people living in their own home in the community, rental accommodation, public housing and retirement villages.  This enables people who require support services to maintain independence and continue to live in their current accommodation for a longer period if they desire.

Community services can be extensive and varied and are tailored to meet individualised care needs.  Community Care services are also flexible and are able to adapt to ongoing changing needs.

Community Services consist of Government Funded programs and eligibility criteria does apply for the services provided.

Services available through Community Services include:

• Community Aged Care Packages (CACP)
• Extended Aged Care at Home Packages (EACH)
• Extended Aged Care at Home Dementia Packages (EACHD)

Types of services include:

• Nursing
• Housekeeping
• Shopping
• Personal Care
• Meal Preparation
• Transport
• Respite Care

Availability and eligibility vary between service areas, fees for these services are determined by the Australian Government Department of Health & Ageing and in some cases may be negotiated if clients are experiencing financial hardship.
