Set on a hill overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of Gympie and Cooloola Shire, St Patrick's Villa provides individualised quality health care that encourages residents to continue to make choices and participate in decisions that affect their lives. Caring and friendly staff ensure a homelike and warm atmosphere where each person is special.

St Patrick's Villa was originally the home of the nuns who cared for the children of Saint Patrick's school. With its magnificent rooms and corridors, stained glass windows and welcoming chapel, the main building has three self-contained 'homes' that together provide low care accommodation services for 30 residents.

Our services have full accreditation from the Department of Health and Ageing's Aged Care Standards Agency.

St Patrick's Villa Hostel

St Patrick's Villa Hostel has three self-contained homes, where residents have their own bedroom with ensuite, while enjoying the conversation and friendship of others in shared lounge and dining areas.

Activities, entertainment and celebrations are held on a regular basis so that all residents can have fun and get to know each other. Everyone loves the wonderful morning teas made by our dedicated volunteers and Villa staff.

Our qualified Leisure and Recreation Coordinator organises plenty of interesting activities and outings, incorporating suggestions from our enthusiastic residents. Our Physiotherapist keeps everyone fit and gives each person individual care. Regular residents' meetings and surveys are conducted allowing direct input into the everyday running of the Villa.

Services

Residents are encouraged and supported to remain independent and active in all aspects of their daily living, with the added security and comfort of knowing that care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services and support at St Patrick's include:

• Assistance with domestic duties - including laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care - such as supervision and assistance with showering, medications and other individual care as required.
• Services and expertise are provided by our visiting Pharmacist, Podiatrist, Hairdresser and Dietician.

It is the aim of St Patrick's Villa that all our residents experience an atmosphere of friendship and security while maintaining their independence and privacy in a community lifestyle everyone can enjoy.
